I Feel... (Ik voel, ik voel, wat jij niet voelt...)

Jasmijn is eight years old. She loves tree-hugging and talking to her guardian angel. Anything she touches transforms into a living, conscious being. Robert is ten years old. His favorite thing to do is to spend the whole day in nature. He climbs trees as high as he can go, reads stories in the clouds, and talks to animals. The forest is his safe place, to which he flees to escape a daily reality that’s not always easy for him.

I feel ... is a documentary about children whose experience of reality is utterly different from that of most people. Though other people regard them as strange, they find their own path through life and dare to see the world with their own eyes.

The scenario for this documentary was developed during the Kids&Docs workshop. This is an intense half-year workshop to develop a film plan for a short children’s documentary lasting 15 minutes. The Kids & Docs Workshop is a joint initiative of IDFA, Cinekid and the Dutch Cultural Media Fund.
